This Privacy Policy applies to the Myco Research mobile application and related services operated by DWORCOWA SP Z O O (“Service Provider”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
Myco Research is a mycological field journal and research logging utility. The Application is intended to help users document fungi samples, field codes, coordinates, elevation, substrate data, microhabitat notes, associated plants, macro and microscopy traits, taxonomy matches, photos, analytics, settings, and JSON exports.
The Application does not collect, log, store, sell, or share personal information through normal use. Registration and website accounts are not required.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
The Application does not collect, log, or store any personal information when you download and use it. Registration is not required.
Any field notes, generated codes, coordinates, specimen records, microscopy data, photos, taxonomy matches, analytics, settings, or JSON exports created in the Application are intended to remain on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, or otherwise transfer them yourself.
If the Application is used with an active internet connection, technical protocol data, such as an ephemeral IP address, may be transmitted by normal network infrastructure to facilitate connectivity. This data is not retained by the Service Provider or used for tracking.
Location information
The Application does not collect precise real-time location information for the Service Provider. If you use location-related features to record field coordinates, latitude, longitude, or elevation, those records are stored locally in your own field journal unless you export or share them.
Third-party access
Because the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, no personal data is shared with third parties. DWORCOWA does not sell personal data.
Data Retention
DWORCOWA does not retain personal data from normal use of Myco Research because the Application does not collect personal information on our servers.
- Field journal data remains local to the user’s device unless the user exports or shares it.
- JSON exports are controlled by the user and may be saved, deleted, or transferred at the user’s discretion.
- If you voluntarily contact DWORCOWA by email, we may retain that communication only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain business records, or meet legal obligations.
Data Deletion
Since Myco Research does not store personal data on DWORCOWA servers, we cannot delete local app records directly from your device. You can delete local data by using available in-app data management controls, deleting exported files, or uninstalling the Application.
If you voluntarily provided information to DWORCOWA outside the Application, you may request deletion by contacting us at support@dworcowa.it.com.
Opt-out rights
Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, uninstalling it removes the Application from your device. You remain responsible for deleting any local exports, backups, or files you created outside the app.
Children
The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market to them. Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, children’s data is not at risk from use of the Application alone.
Security
Because the Application does not collect personal data on DWORCOWA servers, the risk of server-side personal data exposure is minimal. No security system is completely secure, and users should protect their own devices, exports, backups, and shared files.
Myco Research is a field documentation and research journal utility. It is not an edibility, toxicity, diagnosis, or medical-use identification tool.
Data Breach Notification
Since the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of a breach affecting your personal data is minimal. If a breach occurs involving any information you voluntarily provided to DWORCOWA, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
DWORCOWA may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Where required by law, we will seek consent before material changes take effect.
